| Synoptic Situation | The Low Pressure area over north Andaman Sea & adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal moved west- northwestwards and lay over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 20th September, 2026. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify gradually into a depression over eastcentral Bay of Bengal on 21st and into a deep depression over westcentral Bay of Bengal on 22nd September. Continuing to move west-northwestwards it is very likely to reach westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal near north Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts around 23rd September morning. Southwest monsoon moderate to strong over Andaman Sea; moderate over Northeast, Eastcentral, Southeast Bay of Bengal; weak to moderate over Northwest, Westcentral, Southwest Bay of Bengal. |
