| Synoptic Situation | Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of southwest, southeast, westcentral and eastcentral Bay of Bengal, and some parts of northeast Bay of Bengal today, the 30th May 2026. The Northern Limit of Monsoon passes through 10°N/60°E, 9°/65°E, 8.5°N/70°E, 8°N/75°E, 7.8°N/78°E, 8°N/80°E, 10°N/80°E, 13°N/87°E, 16°N/90°E, 19°N/93°E and 22°N/97°E as on 30th May 2026. Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of southwest, westcentral, eastcentral & northeast Bay of Bengal, and remaining parts of southeast Bay of Bengal during next 4-5 days. Southwest monsoon moderate to strong over Southwest Bay of Bengal;moderate over Southeast Bay of Bengal,Westcentral Bay of Bengal and South Andaman sea;weak to moderate over North Andaman sea,Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and Northeast Bay of Bengal. |
