| Synoptic Situation | The low pressure area over south coastal Myanmar & neighbourhood persisted over the same region at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 27th September 2026. The associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 9.4 km above mean sea level. It is likely to emerge into north Andaman Sea and adjoining Irrawaddy delta of Myanmar during next 24 hours and move north-northwestwards along and off Myanmar–Bangladesh coasts towards northeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining Bangladesh during subsequent 2 days. The north-south trough now runs from Bihar to Westcentral Bay of Bengal across Jharkhand, Odisha and extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level. Southwest monsoon moderate to strong over Andaman Sea; moderate over Southeast Bay of Bengal; Weak to moderate over Southwest Bay, Central Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal; weak over Northwest Bay of Bengal. |
