| Synoptic Situation | The Well-Marked low pressure area over Strait of Malacca and adjoining South Andaman Sea persisted over the same region at 1730 hours IST of today, the 23rd November 2025. The associated cyclonic circulation extended upto 7.6 km above mean sea level. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea on 24th November 2025. Continuing to move further west-northwestwards, it is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm over southeast Bay of Bengal during subsequent 48 hours. The upper air cyclonic circulation over Comorin area & neighbourhood extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level persists. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over Comorin and adjoining areas of southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka around 25th November. The cyclonic circulation over southeast Arabian Sea extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level persists. Weather sesonal over rest Arabian sea. |
