Objective of
National Meteorology Olympiad

As part of the 150th Foundation Day celebrations, IMD is conducting the National Meteorological Olympiad (Met-Olympiad) in association with the South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA) and the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS). The Met-Olympiad aims to foster enthusiasm and awareness about weather and climate sciences among young students across the nation. This competition will provide an opportunity for students to test their knowledge, participate in engaging challenges, and learn more about the science of meteorology.

The state winners from every state and union territory (UT), as well as the national winner, will be recognized for their accomplishments. The winners will also have the opportunity to participate in a one-day workshop and the 150th Foundation Day celebrations of IMD on 15th January 2025, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries.
