On the backdrop of celebration of the 150th year of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Meteorological Centre Chandigarh successfully hosted a Stakeholders Workshop at Golden Jubilee Hall, Panjab University Chandigarh on 11th November 2024. It brought together key stakeholders, experts and policy makers from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh to discuss advancements and collaborative efforts in weather and climate sciences. This milestone event highlighted IMD’s pivotal role in advancing India’s capabilities in meteorological science and enhancing community resilience to weather & climate-related risks.
