Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, inaugurated India’s 7th Regional Meteorological Centre in Jammu on June 5, 2026. During the event, he highlighted the significant expansion of meteorological infrastructure across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh, including Doppler Weather Radars, Automatic Weather Stations, and advanced forecasting services, strengthening weather monitoring and disaster preparedness in the region.
