Press Release Date: 21st April 2026 Subject:(i) Prevailing heat wave conditions over Punjab, Haryana ,Uttar Pradesh continue to prevail for the next 3 days with gradual spread towards East India and adjoining Central India for the next 3 days. (ii) Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall along with thunderstorm & lightening likely over northeast & parts of east India during the week. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely over northeast India during many days of the week.
